The Bavaria 38 Ocean is a centre cockpit design with a capable offshore cruising performance combined with a very spacious and practical accommodation layout that works well both at sea and in harbour. The Bavaria 38 Ocean CC is a popular choice and they rarely appear on the market. This example is well equipped for living aboard in comfort.
The centre cockpit Bavaria 38 Ocean is a strongly constructed yacht having been built under Lloyds Germany supervision and should not be confused with newer Bavaria`s lighter built aft cockpit designs. She is an attractive cruiser with her fixed screen giving good protection to the cockpit, and this example also benefits from a sprayhood with fully enclosed aft sections that allow the versatility of an enclosed “outside” area, particularly useful when living aboard in the winter.
She is small enough to be comfortably handled by a couple but below decks she boasts enviable accommodation for a yacht of this overall length. The forepeak area houses a large double berth (with stowage under) and two wardrobes and makes a perfect guest cabin. The main saloon has two straight settees either side of the saloon table, that also double as excellent sea berths whilst on passage. There is good stowage throughout this yacht in a variety of practical lockers. The aft end of the saloon has a chart table to starboard and the port side walk-thru houses a spacious and practical galley that works equally well at sea or in port. There is also excellent access to the engine room here and additionally from behind the companionway steps.
Aft of the chart table there is access to the very large walk-thru heads with separate toilet and shower compartments. The exceptional owner`s cabin aft can be accessed from either the galley or heads walk-thru’s. The owner`s cabin is extremely comfortable and of a size you would only expect on a much larger yacht. It boasts a very large centreline double berth with good stowage throughout and is very popular feature with owners making these yachts very desirable as liveaboard yachts.
This Bavaria 38 Ocean CC is well equipped for living aboard and cruising in comfort and benefits from many upgrades such as standing rigging, sail drive seal, batteries etc and is realistically priced to sell.
