Built by the Tarquin Boat Company in 1997, this Trader 54 Sunliner must surely be the best example available. On boarding this lovely motor yacht from the passerelle, you step onto the covered aft deck and seating area. Roll down covers with windows can be lowered to enclose this area if necessary and there are aft deck controls for better visibility when docking astern. Steps lead up to the flybridge helm position where there is further seating under the bimini and a large sun bathing area on top of the aft deck roof. Aft of this is stowage for the tender and the crane for its launch and retrieval. The side decks offer easy access to the foredeck area with a well thought out platform housing the bow roller, anchor windlass and main anchor.

Access to the interior is either from a sliding door starboard to the inside helm position, or a sliding door from the aft deck down some steps into the saloon. The saloon is fantastically light and has excellent all-round views, the beautiful saloon table is offset to port with ‘U’ shaped seating around and there is fitted stowage to starboard. The forward end of the saloon houses the nav station and full size chart table to port with the inside helm position opposite this. The engine and machinery room is below the saloon floor and there is excellent access around the engines generator etc. The machinery room is as immaculate as the rest of the boat.

Descending some steps at the aft end of the main saloon, you enter another saloon area to starboard with the well equipped ‘U’ shaped galley to port. Aft of this is the fantastic owners’ en-suite stateroom, complete with bath. Forward of the main saloon is a further double guest cabin plus a twin guest cabin, sharing a large toilet and shower compartment.
