MOODY 346

A lovely example of this popular mid sized centre cockpit cruiser. The Moody 346 is a sought after live-aboard with generous accommodation and a good sailing performance. This one is meticulously maintained inside and out by her current owner and viewing is highly recommended.

These Moodys are very popular and deservedly so with the Bill Dixon trademark luxury owners aft cabin combined in an overall length easily handled by a couple.

From the secure feeling centre cockpit you descend the companionway steps where there is a heads/shower compartment to port. Opposite this to starboard is the 'L' shaped galley which continues into the walk thru' to the owners aft cabin. There are also hanging lockers situated in the walk thru (modified with shelving for additional storage) along with a large lift out panel to the engine room which houses the reliable Thornycroft engine.

The owners' cabin is extremely comfortable for a yacht of this size and is what makes the Moody 346 such a desirable craft. There is a wardrobe to starboard with a settee angled towards the double berth offset to port, along with further stowage and a washbasin.

The main saloon has 'U' shaped seating around the saloon table to starboard with a straight settee to port with the aft end being used as a seat for the large chart table. The instruments and main switch panel are also located here.

The forepeak area houses a guest double cabin and there is excellent stowage throughout the boat. Robust, quality construction combined with spacious accommodation given by the centre cockpit design is what gives these Moodys their deserved reputation and the reason they seem hold their value without depreciation.
