A serious bluewater cruiser with build quality and construction to rival that of Hallberg Rassy or Najad. This much loved Malo 38 is reluctantly for sale as the owner wishes to purchase a larger yacht. Attractive lines give a purposeful go anywhere look that is matched by her performance.
On stepping aboard you notice the extensive use of quality teak that appears to be in good condition. The fully battened mainsail with lazyjacks give good performance and a recently fitted stainless steel and teak bathing platform allow easy boarding when moored stern to. There is also a stern anchor deployment and retrieval system for bows to mooring. The deep and secure feeling cockpit has excellent access to the engine and batteries etc.
As you descend the companionway steps you immediately notice the high quality joinery of the interior that is a trademark of these yachts. The practical galley is located to port and aft of this is a small double cabin with stowage. Opposite to starboard is a good sized chart table and navigation area and aft of this is the heads/shower compartment. The main saloon has ‘U’ shaped seating to port around the saloon table and a straight settee to starboard. Recent upholstery adds to the quality feel. The owners double cabin is forward with good stowage.
