The Doug Peterson / Georg Nissen designed Contest 55 CS is built to an extremely high standard by the renowned Conyplex yard in Holland. The Lloyds Certificate of Hull Construction ensures she is built without compromise. She is capable of shorthanded worldwide cruising in absolute comfort and safety.
This example, launched in 1998, is a top quality yacht in first class order and has the added benefit of many optional extras, representing a substantial saving on the cost of a new Contest 55CS to this specification. She is currently lying ashore in the Mediterranean and is to be sold ready to undertake any voyage.
The GRP hull is in white Awl-Grip with blue striping and has a 12mm solid teak laid deck. She is a cutter-rigged sloop.
The interior boasts two luxury en-suite double cabins and a twin passage cabin. There is a large "U" shape saloon (re-upholstered in 2004) with nav station and the galley is situated in the passageway to the aft cabin. The interior is finished in varnished teak throughout.
She is currently British registered and in her second ownership. The yacht has been professionally maintained and all systems are in excellent working order.
