CONSTELLATION 44

This is without doubt the most impressive yacht we have seen in a very long time! The Constellation 44 was built in Sri Lanka with a very heavy GRP lay-up and quality materials and workmanship very rarely seen on yachts today. Viewing of this beautiful and exceptionally well equipped ketch is highly recommended.

Classic looks on this beautiful centre cockpit cutter/ketch. You step aboard from the passerelle under the custom made stainless steel arch housing solar panels and wind generators, over the wind vane self steering on to the aft deck. There are good sized lazarettes here and the permanent set up for the kedge anchor.

The foredeck area houses two massive bollards and the new cutter rigged furling drums. The beautiful teak deck is in excellent order and quality fittings can be seen everywhere from the custom stainless port-lights to the new Anderson winches, attractive varnish work and quality canvass covers.

From the large but secure feeling cockpit you descend the companionway steps into the main saloon. A full size chart table and navigation station is situated to port with all the nav equipment you could need for long distance cruising.  There is a very spacious but practical 'U' shaped galley with a huge amount of stowage to starboard.  The saloon has a straight settee with bunk above to starboard and an 'L' shaped settee with bunk above to port. There is excellent stowage throughout the yacht and beautiful woodwork and quality joinery abounds. There is a roomy heads compartment forward of the saloon in the walkthru' to the double guest cabin in the forepeak area.

Aft of the chart table a further walkthru' to the owners cabin houses a work bench and storage to port, the electrical control panel and excellent access to the engine room/generator etc opposite. The yacht benefits from the excellent new Yanmar engine and all the systems are clean and in good working order, clearly reflecting the owners' meticulous maintenance program and updating/replacing of equipment with quality and reliability in mind. The owners' cabin aft is very spacious with a double bed, curved settee, excellent stowage and an en-suite heads compartment with a separate shower stall. Overall, a very special yacht of extremely high build quality with much money spent on sensible upgrades of equipment, she certainly appears capable of any voyage worldwide in considerable comfort.
