An attractive cruiser from Italy that combines a roomy practical interior with a lively sailing performance. This Comet 1050 has been in her current ownership since 1995 and used for extended holiday cruising 2 to 3 months per year and always stored ashore when not in use. This is a sought after yacht with nice lines and clever design ideas. Conventional slab reefing mainsail gives good performance, she has responsive tiller steering that frees up space in the cockpit.
Descending the companionway steps, with the ever reliable Bukh engine under, there is a practical galley with good storage and very efficient fridge located to starboard. Opposite this to port is an outward facing chart table / navigation area with a foldout seat. Aft of this is a double cabin. The main saloon has a straight settee to port, and opposite to starboard the current owner uses the double berth located here with custom made interior sprung mattress. This area can be converted back to a saloon table with seating if required. Forward of the saloon is a good sized heads and shower compartment to starboard and opposite to port is a generously proportioned hanging locker. Forward of this is a further double cabin in the forepeak area.
